My interest in massage therapy started from giving my mom back rubs growing up. She said, "There is just something special about your touch."
Fast forward to 1995 when my father-in-law was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. While at a cancer center, family members would rub his back and if I was there, he would specifically request that I be the one to do it!
It was after this that I started seriously pursuing the idea of becoming a massage therapist. So, I enrolled in Lancaster School of Massage and graduated in 1998.
I use many modalities during my massage sessions. They include the following: Swedish, Cranio-sacral, Polarity, Sports Massage, Myofascial Release, my own type of Energy Work and, my most recent addition, Cupping.
